Sonicribe Cloud connects your recording workflow to a Google account and a shared credit allowance. Before starting a substantial writing session, it helps to know which account is signed in, how much confirmed usage remains, and when your allowance changes.
Use Sonicribe on an Apple Silicon Mac with a Google account and internet connection. Open Settings → Account to sign in and check Plan & credits, then choose a speech model in your style’s Voice section. For a formatted draft, choose a Text formatting model in Rewrite.
Sign in and check the account
- Open Settings and find Account.
- Use Continue with Google to sign in.
- Confirm that the displayed account is the one you intend to use.
- Choose Refresh account if account or plan information needs updating.
- In Plan & credits, use Refresh usage to request the current confirmed usage.
If usage is unavailable, treat it as unavailable rather than as a zero balance. Check your connection and account state, then refresh again. Usage can include pending activity, so wait for completed processing and refreshed information before judging the cost of a test session.
Know what the allowance covers
Speech transcription and optional text formatting use the same credits. That allowance is shared across your devices. A minute estimate is a planning aid, not a guaranteed number of recording minutes; model choice and formatting can change what a session consumes.
The current offer is:
- Eligible new accounts: 100 free minutes with Groq Turbo, with no time limit.
- Pro: $7/month. Up to about 2,500 minutes a month with Groq Turbo.
- Max: $20/month. Up to about 10,700 minutes a month with Groq Turbo.
Paid allowances renew monthly, and unused paid credits reset rather than accumulate. Recording pauses when credits reach zero. Choose a plan using observed usage from your real tasks, including formatting and corrections, rather than a speculative recording-duration comparison.
Open the appropriate billing controls
Use Subscribe to Pro or Subscribe to Max under Plans when you intend to subscribe. Checkout requires a confirmed account email. For an existing subscription, use Manage billing and review the available subscription controls. Monthly subscriptions can be canceled; review the billing screen for your current subscription's effective dates.
If a purchase or plan update has not appeared in the app, refresh the account and usage before starting repeated processing requests. Keep any billing reference available for support, but do not paste payment details into a dictation merely to diagnose an allowance issue.
Keep account access distinct from local history
Signing out locks access to the account's local Transcripts and custom words on that Mac. Shared usage across devices does not mean Transcripts is cloud synchronized. Sign back into the associated account when you need that local data.
See the account and billing instructions and speech and formatting model guide for the settings that influence your writing workflow and usage.
