The end of a recording is the start of review. Sonicribe turns speech into a draft, and the result view gives you a chance to check that draft before it becomes an email, note, or published paragraph. A few deliberate corrections can matter more than a polished first sentence.
Review the meaning first: names, dates, numbers, commitments, and requested actions. Then adjust wording and layout for the destination. The goal is text you can use with confidence in your own judgment.
Edit the visible result
- Complete a recording and wait for the transcription result.
- Click into the result text to edit it.
- Correct mistaken words and any details that need review.
- Read the whole edited passage once more.
- Use the result's copy or export control to take the reviewed text with you.
For example, an illustrative draft might say, “Please review the outline on Tuesday,” when you intended Thursday. Fix the deadline before copying. A successful transcription process does not verify that a date or recipient matches your intended real-world task.
The copy and export actions use the currently visible result text. When you leave the edited field, Sonicribe attempts to update its corresponding saved Transcripts entry. Check for the Saved confirmation. If it reports Failed to save changes, copy the visible corrected text to keep your edits; the saved entry may still contain the earlier wording. An empty edit cannot be saved.
Copy into the destination
Use the result's Copy transcription to clipboard control, then paste into your editor or text field. Confirm the target before sending. Automatic insertion can be convenient, but copying the reviewed result is also a recovery path when the initial text did not reach the intended field.
If another application changes your clipboard between copying and pasting, return to the result and copy again. The clipboard is a transfer mechanism rather than a permanent record of your draft.
Export a file you can name and find
Choose Export transcription to file. The save dialog supports Text Files with a .txt extension and Markdown with a .md extension. Select a location and meaningful name, then confirm the save.
Both options save the text. Choosing Markdown does not automatically design a formatted report or create a document template. If your text contains Markdown headings or bullets, a Markdown editor can interpret them afterward. Use a plain text file when you simply need the words.
Choose the right amount of output
This result export is for one visible transcription. It is not a bulk Transcripts export, a subtitle generator, or a PDF workflow. For a longer document, collect reviewed sections in your normal writing tool and organize them there.
If processing completed but Transcripts could not be saved, copy the available result immediately to keep the text. Do not rely on an automatic retry to recreate the same draft. See the edit and export instructions and Transcripts guide for the two different recovery paths.
