A recording window should be easy to notice without covering the words you are trying to write. Sonicribe lets you choose its visual style, waveform color, and placement, along with the main app's theme and interface language. These settings personalize the workspace while leaving you free to choose speech and formatting behavior separately.

Start with readability. The right setup is the one that makes the recording state clear on your actual screen, at the size and contrast you normally use.

Choose menus and theme

  • Use the sidebar's Toggle light/dark theme control to switch the app's theme.
  • Open Settings and find App language.
  • Set App language to English or Korean.
  • Read the updated menus and messages to confirm your choice.

App language changes the interface. It does not select the language you speak, translate a transcript, or change a style's writing instructions. If recognition is using the wrong language, check Speech language separately instead of changing the menus repeatedly.

Fresh settings use a dark theme and English menus. An existing installation may retain your earlier choices, so use the visible settings as the reference for your current setup.

Preview a recording style

In Settings, find Recording window. The abstract choices are Classic, Mini, Matrix, Sling Ring, Nova, and Burst. Use Preview to inspect a style, then choose the one you want.

Character choices are Mochi, Luna, Miso, Pixel, Nori, Cleo, Bolt, Biscuit, Nimbus, Yuki, Rusty, and Pepper. They provide different visual recording companions. Choose them for how they look and fit your workspace, rather than expecting a different recognition model or writing personality.

Classic is the initial recording style. For a compact writing area, compare it with Mini; for a more visible recording indicator, preview one of the other styles. Preview shows appearance, not a transcription accuracy test.

Set color and placement

Under Waveform color, select a preset or use Custom color. Blue is the initial choice. Pick a color that remains visible against your usual app backgrounds, especially if you switch between light and dark documents.

Drag the recording overlay to a convenient position. Leave the destination text visible so you can check where the result appears. After rearranging your windows, make a short recording and confirm that the overlay still fits your working area.

Keep estimates in perspective

Today's Set typing pace can personalize the time-saved estimate using your typing pace. Treat that number as an estimate rather than a measured guarantee for every task. Actual work includes speaking, processing, reviewing, and correcting the draft.

Use the interface and appearance instructions for the controls. The speech language guide explains the separate setting that guides recognition.
